COMs offer flexibility of profit payments with various maturities upto 5 years as depicted in tabular form below. Certificates of Musharika are encashable at any point during the tenure of investment.
ii. Simple & hassle-free Point of purchase
For investing in SCM’s COMs you can simply obtain an Application Form by calling, visiting or writing to any branch of Standard Chartered Modaraba (SCM) or Standard Chartered Bank (Pakistan) Limited (SCBPL) nationwide.
Procedure:
i. Two steps to buy COM
You can buy COM only for Rs. 50,000, without the hassle of opening bank account. You can make your payments through any of the four modes namely; cross Cheque, pay order, bank draft or bank transfer.
ii. You need to;
- Fill the form ensuring that all the requirements mentioned therein are completed
- Submit at any branch of SCM or SCBPL.

- Premature encashment is permitted at any time, which may be subject to early encashment adjustments
- The Certificates are transferable and negotiable
- The Certificate is not guaranteed by the Government of Pakistan or Standard Chartered Group
- The Profit payment is subject to deduction of withholding tax where ever applicable
- Exemption from Zakat on submission of Zakat declaration form (CZ- 50)
